McAdam Railway Station

ABOUT THE MCADAM RAILWAY STATION

Built in 1900, the McAdam Railway Station is a National and Provincial Historic site and a designated Heritage Railway Station. Located on the New Brunswick-Maine border the former Canadian Pacific Railway Station was part of the main CPR line into Atlantic Canada.

The Station is operated and managed by the McAdam Historical Restoration Commission. It is an active museum offering tours, catered meals, conference facilities and much more. The Station is also a Visitor Information Center, located only a few kilometers from the Maine-New Brunswick border crossing at Vanceboro.

Come on in and take a tour. It’s a story of railroad history when ridin’ the rail was the only way to travel!

We are open seasonally from July 1 to September 30, everyday from 10am-6pm.

Located along Route 4, just 45 minutes from Fredericton the Village of McAdam awaits!

Warm and friendly, the community welcomes visitors to the Historic Railway Station, several restaurants, a beautiful lakeside campground and a unique country experience.

Pick an adventure – canoe the St. Croix River, picnic at Spednic Lake, tour the Station, hike the nature trail or browse through a variety of country shops.

Located on the Maine-New Brunswick border, McAdam has a long history of hospitality.

‘Christmas at the Station’ 2015 enjoyed an outstanding number of visitors with more than twice as many taking in the decorations this year. Our photographer, Roger Smith, captured a number of the visitors and we are delighted to share some of these images with you.

We hope you enjoyed seeing the Station decorated for Christmas and that you will visit us again next year.
