McAdam Railway Station

Built in 1900, the McAdam Railway Station is a National and Provincial Historic site and a designated Heritage Railway Station. Located on the New Brunswick-Maine border the former Canadian Pacific Railway Station was part of the main CPR line into Atlantic Canada.

The Station is operated and managed by the McAdam Historical Restoration Commission. It is an active museum offering tours, catered meals, conference facilities and much more. The Station is also a Visitor Information Center, located only a few kilometers from the Maine-New Brunswick border crossing at Vanceboro.

Come on in and take a tour. It's a story of railroad history when ridin' the rail was the only way to travel!


Railroad Reunion and Train Ride....Sept 11, 2010

The McAdam Historical Restoration Commission is hosting the 4th Annual Railroader's Reunion, bbq and train ride on September 11 from 11 am to 4 pm.

A special train ride will be available leaving Harvey at 10 am - travelling to McAdam and departing McAdam, back to Harvey at 3 pm. Tickets are $20 each way and are available at the McAdam Village Office - McAdam; WWE Smith Country Store, Harvey and at Enterprise Central NB, 3662 Route 102, Islandview (Fredericton)

Entertainment, displays all day long, free tours of the Station. Barbeque chicken burgers, hotdogs and pop available for a small charge.

All proceeds from the event will go to further restoration efforts.  The MHRC would like to acknowledge the continuing support of NB Southern Railroad toward the restoration effort.

Railroad Pie Continued in September

Railroad Pie Sunday will be continued throughout September. Every Sunday, from 1 pm to 4 pm drop by the McAdam Station for a slice of home-made pie and refreshment in the famous 1950's style lunch counter.  Don't forget to ask your server how Railroad Pie became famous throughout New England!
