McAdam Station gets funding for a new Geothermal Heating System

The McAdam Historical Restoration Commission (MHRC) is proud to announce $1.1M in funding from the federal and provincial governments that will make it possible for the installation of sustainable geothermal heating and cooling conversion at the McAdam Railway Station, a National and Provincial Historic Site, and Heritage Railway Museum.

This new system will meet the current and future needs of this New Brunswick icon by reducing energy costs by up to 50%, reducing our carbon footprint, allowing for expansion of seasonal public access, and enabling future rehabilitation of the 2nd and 3rd floors.

We would like to express our appreciation and thanks to ACOA, our federal partner, and the Regional Development Corporation, our provincial partner, for their commitment and investment in this project, and for contributing to the economic future of McAdam.
