Return of Railway Pie™
A piece of history with every slice!
McAdam— June 2, 2023 — The McAdam Historical Restoration Commission (MHRC) is pleased to announce the return of their signature iconic event, Railway Pie Sundays, taking place in Summer 2023. Beginning June 18, guests are invited to enjoy a generous slice of the famous Railway Pie while exploring the historic train station’s main floor.
Dates: Every Sunday from June 18 to September 24, 2023
Times:
1:00pm – 2:00pm
2:00pm – 3:00pm
3:00pm – 4:00pm
Location: 96 Saunders Road, McAdam, NB
Cost: $15, Tickets MUST be purchased online ahead of time

“We are thrilled to host the return of the popular Railway Pie Sundays event”, said Taylor Gallant, McAdam Deputy Mayor and MHRC volunteer. “This is not just an opportunity to once again indulge in delicious pie; it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and the rich history of McAdam and it’s connection to railway heritage. We invite everyone to come and join us for a delightful Sunday afternoon filled with pie, laughter, and memories.”
Raising Funds
Railway Pie Sundays is one of several events sponsored by the MHRC that fund projects in the promotion and preservation of the historical and cultural significance of the McAdam Railway Station.
“Railway Pie Sundays was a key source of funding of restoration and rehabilitation projects between 2009 and 2019” said Elsie Carroll, President, McAdam Historical Restoration Commission. “We are pleased to once again host this important fund-raising event that benefits the station, community, and local businesses”.
The MHRC published a collection of Railway Pie recipes in 2020, as an additional means of funding. Copies of the coveted Railway Pie cookbook can be purchased during your visit to the station, or through the online Gift Shop
