volunteer today!

The McAdam Railway Station is run almost entirely on the hard work of our volunteers.

Our volunteers are integral to keeping our Museum and operations alive and thriving.

Do you want to get involved in a dynamic and stimulating environment and gain a sense of community?

Are you passionate about railway history?

Then we encourage you to volunteer with us!

Don't just take our word for it

“I am proud to be part of an organization that is working to keep this National Historic Site open for visitors from all over. People are so amazed about the history of the Station! I like telling stories about the Station because of it being connected with family having worked for Canadian Pacific Railway. Most of the stories I tell come from my families’ own experiences.”

Gail SwanDirector (MHRC), and Volunteer

“I love learning about the artifacts and how they were used as they were timeless and its important to share the knowledge and history of these artifacts,
including the changes in technology with future generations. I also like to share the stories of the Canadian Pacific Railway workers and the legacy they left in McAdam.”

Emily S.Tour Guide, Volunteer (Artifact Collections)

“I believe in the station because of it's history and what it means to the community.”

Linda K.

“I want to support our community and I love the history of the station!”
